I currently have an iPhoto library dedicated to digital scrapbook supplies. My supplies are not only in the library but they are also organized in a large folder on my desktop. I download them, organize them and then import them to iPhoto. Are the supplies in iPhoto simply copies of what is in my original folders? If that's the case, does it mean that twice the amount of space is being taken up on my internal hard drive?
My supplies (but not my iPhoto library) are currently backed up on an EHD. Would it be possible to delete all of the supplies from my internal HD but still maintain the iPhoto library on the internal? Would I be able to import items from my external?
I'm on a MacBook Pro and I don't want to be chained to my desk by needing to have both the supplies an my library on my external. But I also don't have much more room left to keep storing them on the internal.
I hope my questions make sense!
