Just a heads up. I ran across a workaround that lets you install the new iPhoto app on the iPad 1. Doing this has created all kinds of problems with my iPad. The app itself, once installed works mostly okay, except it does crash some. But it is still usable and you can create Journals and publish them to iCloud (which is my main use of the app). When you try to sync back to your Mac though, the sync doesn't work and talks about having an unauthorized app on your iPad, etc. When you try to delete the app off your iPad, the iPad locks up. It seems like the only solution is to restore your iPad from scratch. At least all this has been my experience. I guess Apple is right in saying the app is really only for the 2 and 3 (duh). Anyway I thought I would just share my experience in doing this workaround. I am restoring my iPad as I post this and will only use the iPhote app on my iPhone until I purchase the iPad 3.
