iPhoto and iTunes library sharing

Hi

I have a large iTunes and iPhoto library on my Macbook Pro.

Is there anyway I can view and listen to the files through iPhoto and iTunes through my Macbook over the network?

I mean, in iPhoto for instance, I can see events view exactly as I would on the Macbook Pro, and see the playlists and album artwork like I would on iTunes on the MBP?

Also, is there anyway to share these librarys when iTunes and iPhoto are not running?

In iTunes, Preferences->Sharing->Share my Library over my Local Network.

I imagine it's somewhere similar in iPhoto.

I believe they need to be running for them to be shared, though I'm not sure.
