iPhoto and iTunes sharing on same pc

Is it possible to share iPhoto and iTunes libraries on the same computer with 2 different log-ons??? My wife has all the pictures, and I have all the music, and we both want to be able to search through them on our own profiles.

I know I can add all my tunes to her library, but whenever I add a new cd etc I have to do it twice, and it sucks!

Any advice would be great

Hold down the Option key you launch iTunes or iPhoto. This will give you the option to open an existing library. Navigate to the existing library and open it.

Note: You may (not sure) have to change permissions so you can access files inside of each others user folders, but try what i said above first. If it wont let you then, you may need to change permissions.
