Hi guys,

I have an iMac with OS X Lion and have two users set up on it.

Is there a way I can share one iPhoto library between these two users? So for example if one user adds photos to iPhoto the other user can log on later and have an updated library with the new ones in their iPhoto library?

Same question with iTunes.

I've tried to google but have come across some really complicated suggestions. Can anyone give me an easy and simple way of doing this?

Thanks for your help

I too am wondering the same thing so I thought I would bump this.

I keep all the pics and tunes on a external hard drive so that's a factor.

Can anyone answer this question?

Well I checked under preferences/sharing and turned it on. When I checked the other user account my library was right there as a shared option so it was super easy. I did notice that when I went to close my iPhoto library it prompted me that I would be disconnecting the availability for other users to share so the main library has to be up and running I guess.

I would think iTunes would be the same way but haven't looked.

Edit: You cannot edit a shared library so this may not be a suitable solution for you.
