iPhoto and red eye

I have been editing some pictures I took recently and have run into a problem in iPhoto. For the most part, red eye reduction works great. However, sometimes when I use red eye it will fix the problem and save the changes. But, when I go back to the picture the red eye reappears.
Has anyone else had this problem?

thats odd. i have tht same problem... but in aperture!

I have fixed it somewhat. I have found if I really zoom in on the eyes it will get rid of most of the red eye and save it.
