Can I scan pix directly into iPhoto, or do I need to scan them onto my HDD then import them into iPhoto? IfI have to scan them onto the HDD, then import them can someone give me the names of some easy to use scanning proggies? I'm trying to set my parents up w/a new iMac so simplicity is key. :)

TIA

Okay... so no one knows if you can scan pix directly into iPhoto, or no on wants to answer my thread...? Which is it? ;)

Sorry, had to check.

You have to import them first. I'm suprised iPhoto doesn't have TWAIN acquire. I can recommend Canon.....Go to Apple's OS X page to find the scanners that are supported and go to [url:www.versiontracker.com] for 3rd party scan software. Canon's basic $120.00 model is cool cuz it has NO buttons to fool with.

Cool, thanx. Maybe TWAIN will be a part of iPhoto2? As for Photoshop... yeah, that'll work well w/my barely computer literate parents. ;)
