iPhoto can't see iPhone but at the same time, it can

Hi,

When I plug my iPhone into my iMac iPhoto starts. Normally there is an iPhone icon on the left so you can sync the photo's. When I plug it in, iPhoto starts, but I can't see the iPhone on the left.

Can anyone help me?

got the same problem. cant get photos over unless i ssh. tried to restore, did nothing.
