iPhoto worked fine for several months, but yesterday it started acting weirdly. I clicked "import of library" and iPhoto stopped responding. Eventually I forced it to quit, and it locked up, displaying the error message "The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it." I rebuilt the library, which worked and allowed me to view my photos once again. However, the next time I tried to import to library, it froze again and, once again, it locked after I forced it to quit. I don't remember changing any settings that may have caused this. Any help is appreciated.

I'm running iLife '09 and Snow Leopard on a 2.8 GHz MacBook Pro.
