When I first started using iPhoto I deselected the option to have iPhoto make a copy of the photos I imported to my iPhoto library. I have now decided I probably should have left that option checked. I checked the option, but it only seems to be copying new photos i've added to the library file. Is there any way I can back up my files to the library file without having to re-import my files from my external hd? Thanks

I don't think. I've always had the option of importing pics into the library deselected. Just feel safer this way, since libraries do get corrupted sometimes.
