Hey guys, iPhoto 8.1.2 is crashing on my friend's MBP. We tried repairing permissions, but it didn't work. The application opens, freezes everything and then crashes, Any suggestions?

Iphoto crashing big time!
I am having having the same problem. Went to the dork bar and they rebuilt the files. was fine for a week and now the same issue of beach ball then total computer lock up. I bought the computer 3 months ago and I wish I bought a new windows 7 laptop. Bad taste in this mouth. I went to MAC because of supposed minimal issues. Now I have to become a Mac geek and figure out how to reformat the hard drive, reinstall and hope no crash. I guess. I have better things to do though. I think you should First delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder and try iPhoto again.
