I've uploaded a bunch of photos from a recent trip, and a small number of them are being cut off, such that iPhoto is just showing a gray bar across the bottom portion of the photo (sometimes just a bit, sometimes, half of the photo). (See attached JPG screenshot.)

The photos look fine when viewed on the camera so the file itself doesn't seem corrupted.

It also doesn't seem 100% consistent, which is to say if I delete and reimport, they sometimes look fine, sometimes not.

Any ideas?

thanks!

Plugging the SD card into a USB port through an adapter then selecting for import through iPhoto, same as I always do.

I've seen this exact same problem from photos that a friend had sent me of an event. A few percent of the photos had that same "half imported" look.

At the time, I thought it was his camera... but now I realize that it was probably his adapter when downloading.

I would try replacing the adapter, or try connecting the camera to the computer with the cable that probably shipped with the camera.
