I havent touched any file name or any of that. One day I open my iphoto and all my photos and albums are gone. I tried restoring the iphoto library by clicking option and choosing the iPhoto Library location and nothing.

However, if I "show package contents" the iphoto library... all my pictures are in the "original folder" perfectly fine. Anyway to import them back in the proper album I categorized them in.

did you try holding down the option key while launching iphoto. there it will ask you to choose where your library is or to create a new one. See if you can redirect it to point to where your photo library is.

I had this problem, it panicked the sh*t out of me. Just drag and drop from the folder. (I think)

iphoto deleted my whole libary!

I'm so devastated, I just opened it up and it was all gone, poof. And there was suddenly 12G free on my hard disk. I rang mac help and they shrugged their shoulders and said my hard disk was corrupted, but I have heard of this happening to other people ?

If you know how to get them back (without going to a hard drive specialist) Please help me!:(
