IPHOTO erases my uploaded pics

so i uploaded my pics and selected the option delete originals after upload....when its done importing i only see the thumbnails and cant find the photo!!!

i can think straight im so upset. they were pictures from mexico

why did this happen and is there anyway i can find or recover these?

So you double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto and what happens?

a big "!" shows up

i right click to show file and nothing comes up. the pictures are GONE

Crap. Check your Pictures folder to see if they're in there. Also, try rebuilding your iPhoto library.

nope there are blank thumbnails now...what the ffffffffffffffffffff
