Hi there,
I have a problem with the face recognition feature in iPhoto. My library is quite big (25.000) pictures and face recognition takes ages to complete. Whenever I start iPhoto the program starts to recognize familiar faces which causes heave CPU usage which then causes the fan to go on and battery life to go down (and so on...).
So my question would be:
1. Is it normal that the face recognition takes more than 12 hours for each face?
2. Is there any way to disable the feature in order to be able to work with iPhoto without the battery draining in 2 hours.
Ah, I run a new uMBP 13, 2,13 ghz, 2 GB Ram, 500 GB HD, Snow Leopard, all drivers, etc. updated.
Thanks a lot,
Basti.
P.S. I googled but didn't find anything that solves my problem...
