iphoto fails imports for no reasons?!

Hello,


why would iphoto be failing to import a jpg image? they are regulary images in every way, it just tells me that the import failed! very frustrating...

it says that it is unreadable, the file cannot be imported...

yet it opens just fine in preview....?!?!?
