Iphoto greyed out!

Hi, my other half connected his Ipod to Itunes on the pc last week, to download music. Since then when I try to download photos from Iphoto to Ebay or Photobucket Iphoto is greyed out, which wasn't previously. So now I have to drag the photos on to the desktop and go from there, which is obviously more time consuming. Does anyone know how to rectify this!

What version of iPhoto you running?
