i have a ibook g4, and there is nothing wrong with it except for my iphoto. i have about 1300 pictures in there... and it is ungodly slow when i open it or import pictures from my camera. i did an update an everything, and I think it's even worse now? any suggestions?

Do you have sufficient RAM? 256-512 MB isn't enough to run the operating system well, let alone applications.

Turn off shadow (and outline, although shadow makes the biggest difference) in the Appearance tab of iPhotos preferences.
