When I upload pictures to the internet from my Iphoto library they are much smaller than the typical picture. I don't want to upload the original file because if you edit on Iphoto it doesn't change that file. Right? It frustrates me that the pictures are so small, is there a way to get around this?

And do you recommend a photo editing program that can be used on mac well that doesn't do something like this?

Thanks!

Are you uploading from within the finder (you should NOT be doing this), or from within the app? If you will use the export function in the app, you will be given a choice of what size to upload, and you will be uploading the most current version of your photo.

I am uploading it from the app. But I'm 'exporting' them to facebook and the like, and i'm not sure how to export them when you have to upload from the actual facebook site itself.

Some sites, like facebook, will resize the photos, so no matter what, they will look small.

Just make sure, on export, that the size is set to large or full size.
