IPhoto images resized in "Finder" folder

I was uploading my photos in IPhoto and walked away for a bit. My son came along and did something on the computer and now I can't find my photos in Iphoto. However, I am able to view them in Finder, but the image quality has been resized. I need to bring them back to the origianl high quality to make prints!!! Thanks for your help
