I need to import 20 gigs of photos into iphoto. The pictures are organized hierarchy (stored in folders and subfolders). If I drag multiple folders into iPhoto, iPhoto only creates 1 albumn (when I want multiple albums).

I have already tried using iPhotoTool 1.1. It scans the directory correctly, but if there is a folder with subfolders in it duplicates a lot of photos (basically it does not work correctly).

Is there anything out there that can import a lot of photos easily. (I don't want to be dragging folders one by one. (below is a screenshot to show how my pictures are organized.)

If you have Tiger, maybe look through Automator to see if there's a workaround there. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything specific you can do, but I'll have a look at it when I get back to my Tiger system. :)

I had a look at automater and it seems there is no way to Dynamically name albums based on the folder name, so I am kind of stuck there also.
