iPhoto-Import photo issue--photos in library folder but not imported-delete them how?

iPhoto is telling me that photos are in the library, but can't import them. HOW DO I STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING? every time I open iPhoto the same thing happens.

I found this post on web that should solve the problem, but I can't find the library folder???
"Just open up a Finder window, browse to the Pictures folder, iPhoto Library, where you will find a folder called "Import". Delete everything in the import folder, empty your trash, and try re-opening iPhoto."
