Hello,

Been a mac user for many years, and just now starting to use iPhoto.

Here's the question: When I plug in my camera, it seems like the only way to get the pictures off is to import EVERY photo. Is there a way to only import SOME of them? Maybe the answer is pretty clear but I need a little help.

Thanks!

I have being looking for a solution to this for ages. The only solution i have found so far is use something like Kodak easy share programme to import them to the computer and then import them to itunes.

I agree its really annoying.

I don't think this is possible. You have to say import them all but skip the duplicates which makes the process quite a bit longer. Hopefully the new version of iPhoto will fix this.

Skybolt is wise

Skybolt has it. Just use Image Capture. You can tell it to save images to any folder, download some or all of the images, and you can even manually delete pics of your choosing off of your camera.

Good Luck.

Didn't even think to use Image Capture. Thanks for the help!

I've used a card reader to bring the photos into folders, then I will import them as I see fit to iPhoto. Might be worth a shot, especially with the low cost of card readers now.

Just an update: iPhoto '08 now SHOWS you the photos that are on the camera and allows to you "Import Selected"!

No more Image Capture (and duplicates of photos)!

Hey thanks for the update! I'm on my way to the Apple Store in a bit to pick up a copy! Gotta love Apple.
