Iphoto imported photos look fuzzy

All,

I just noticed this new the other day when I import pictures from my canon a650 camera iphoto opens up as usual opens the pictures on the camera but all the pictures are fuzzy, like the are slightly pixelated. Once downloaded they look fine. I have checked every preference setting I could and cant figure it out??? I am using Iphoto 08 7.1.5

Do just the thumbnails look like this, or is it the full size photos as well?

Well they are not yet imported but they are pixelated large or small I double clicked on one and it wont open up. I dont know why this is bothering me I just dont like mysteries!!

Then it be that they are just low-resolution previews. You shouldn't have this problem once imported, or if you navigate to the photos on the camera in Finder.

I know it isnt a big deal but it was never like that before, same camera same computer.... Maybe its safari beta!!!! :-}
