iPhoto ipmeta files

I have a ton of these in finder. Is is OK to delete/remove to trash ipmeta files? I clicked on one of them and it's looks like Chinese to me.

Do NOT do anything in the iPhoto library in finder! iPhoto needs all those files in order to work. It organizes things so that it can function for you. Changing anything in that folder will render iPhoto useless to you -- you will have lost photos, corrupted photos, etc. Forget that file exists and do anything and everything to/with your photos from within the app itself.
