I'm kind of alarmed by how easy it is to delete photos from iPhoto, eg accidentally rub against the delete button and the photo disappears from the Event - without any request for confirmation that you want to delete! I know you can password protect the photos for other users, but is there any way of 'locking' photos so that you can't accidentally delete them yourself?

Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure, but in iPhoto, deleting a photo only relegates that photo to the Trashcan. It won't actually be deleted until you empty the trashcan.

I think you get a warning when you try to empty the trashcan.

Many thanks for that ftaok, that's a relief to know. Would still love to find some way - any way! - of 'locking' the photos.
