iPhoto + Japanese

I'm hoping someone can help with this problem.

In iPhoto a lot of my album names are in Japanese, yet when I publish them, eventhough the names show up in Japanese, when I access the website the names appear as ___________ only (underbars.)

Anyone know how to remedy this?
