Iphoto Keeps Crashing on a single album/photo

I have several folders that have albums in them. When I click on a specific folder/album, "mushrooms", I receive the spinning rainbow wheel and then Iphoto crashes. This only occurs with this folder/album. All the other folders/albums work fine.

does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?

Fixed but still do not understand the error

I fixed the problem by:
1. highlighting the event, Mushrooms
2. dragged it to the trash
3. clicked, 'file" then "empty iphoto trash"
4. Re-imported the Mushroom photos again

After doing that they worked fine.

I would still like to know what the error was and how to avoid it happening again. If anyone knows or has any ideas please post

I have the same issue, but with an image that I scanned in (1 of 3). I thought I had fixed it by deleting the image and rescanning, but the problem returned.

I have a 2010 MBP 15" i5 2.4GHz standard resolution.
