iphoto keeps saying "loading pictures..." but nothing is loading?

So, I don't have anything in my current library for iphoto and every time I open Iphoto it keeps saying "loading pictures...." but nothing ever comes up...so I can't load or look at any photos..

i tried reinstalling iphoto but still isn't working...

any ideas?? please??

You coulrd try rebuilding your iPhoto library...

i tried that.... (held option + command) and than opened iphoto - held it for awhile - nothing happened...still kept saying... "loading photos..."?
