iPhoto Keeps spinning when opening even with empty database

I am not sure what happened but when I open iphoto [500 pictures]... it keeps spinning and does nothing. I cannot quit or do anything but wait till I did a Force Quit. What can I do..I did many things but nothing seems to work. I even created a new Library called Library_Vacation_3 as an empty database but it still keeps spinning. Should I remove iPhoto and reinstall it again? Thanks

You might try this to rebuild the database.
