iPhoto, layers like Photoshop?

Hi Guys, just a quickie, can I edit layers in iPhoto as I notice it does open psd files, unlike Windows would unless you had Photoshop, or do I need Photoshop to do layers?

iPhoto can open PSD files and display them but it cannot view or edit individual layers.

iPhoto cannot do layers. It may be worth investing in Pixelmator which can open PSD files and support the layers.
