Hey Guys,

I have an iMac 24" with a 500GB hard drive. I also have over 23,500 photos that are very soon to consume my drive space. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible on iPhoto '09 to redirect the iPhoto directory/library to come from an external drive that i am connecting to it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, my Mac is in desperate need of help :/

Thanks!

Close iPhoto, then use Finder to go into your Photos folder, and move the iPhoto Library package to an external drive.

When it's done, hold down the OPTION key when you launch iPhoto, and chose the option to select a new library. Point it to the location on your external drive where you dropped iPhoto Library and it should work fine externally. :)
