I'm scrolling through my iPhoto library of about 100,000 photos and all of a sudden it has been doing crazy things. Images change into other images. That is they are being replaced, doubled up. I have noticed it for about a week now but I have just realised I am losing those photos. They are changing into other photos! Every time I scroll through it happens and now I have 4 or 5 or the same photo and I have lost the photo it seems to replace (I actually witness it change into another photo) and I am worried I have lost it for good!

Any ideas? please help!

Any ideas anyone? It has me worried. I know the original files will probably be OK but I have 100 000 images filed in many many folders and refiling them is not an option

Thanks!

Sounds like a problem with the iphoto database internals. Have you tried. To repair or rebuild the database yet? Hold down the option key while starting iPhoto and it will present you with options to repair.

THanks very much Glen, that a great idea I will try it out.
