Hi,
My iphoto library is starting to fill up my external hard drive so i bought a new 1TB drive yesterday. Is there a way to keep the photos i have on the external hard drive i have been using and continue the library on this new hard drive. I would like to be able to continue the library and not create a new one and would like to be able to see all event across both the hard drives. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

You cannot span a library across two volumes. However, you can move your entire existing library onto the new drive so that it has much more room to grow. I believe it is as easy as copying the library over and then pointing iPhoto to the new location.

oh ok, do you know how many jpeg pictures you could fit on a 1TB external hard drive? (I take pictures with a 10megapixel camera)
