I want to reduce the size of my iPhoto Library. I have noticed that it has retained a number of pictures/folders in the library that I thought that I deleted long ago.

I have been exporting pictures out to the same folder structure that I am using in iPhoto. (I will lose my faces library, but whatever).

Is there a way to purge the library of pictures that aren't currently in the visible iPhoto Library, but not this manual way I am doing it.

I think it's strange to find pictures inside the Library Masters directory that aren't in the Library when you launch the program.

I have read people who say to use Lightroom or Aperture, but I only use Lightroom for my RAW files. I use iPhoto for the .jpgs I output from Lightroom. So, using Lightroom isn't an option and since Aperture is going away, I am not going to spend money on it....

Any help would be appreciated.
