I want to reduce the size of my iPhoto library which contains 10 years of photos and is about 75GB in size, to make it easier to backup to an off site location using carbonate software. I intend to use iPhoto library manager to create new libraries for each year, by selecting and dragging events I can copy photos into the new library. Will this actual remove them from the original library (thus reducing the size). This would seem an ideal way as i could then have 10 libraries all at 10% of the original size.
