Hi all,
I am planning to use a Mac Mini as a Home Theater, connecting it to my 52" LCD. I am sure it will work great - so many apps out there for smooth playback (Plex, MPlayer Extended etc).

For when the family visits, I would love to show family pics, etc, on the LCD, so I am planning to move my current iPhoto Library (some 37GB) to my Mac Pro server. All the devices are connected over a Gigabit Network. A symlink on my main machine (iMac) would then suffice, I suppose, to copy photos to the Network iPhoto Library and a symlink on the Mac Mini would enable iPhoto to read from the network library.

I wonder - would this work? If so, has anyone ever tried this? Are there any performance issues? Any input would be great!
