I recently got an external hard drive to store all of my photos. My goal was to delete all the photos from the HD on my MacBook and use the ExtHD as the destination for my iPhoto Library. I copied all my photos to the ExtHD, it took over 2 hours, 55.89 GB. Then I made the ExtHD the default location for the iPhoto Library.
Then I opened my iPhoto Library through the Macintosh HD in my finder and deleted all the events. But when I went back to the iPhoto Library through the ExtHD all the events were gone. The file still says it has 55.89 GB in it, but I can't find the photos. The "deletion" process took 1 second, so I'm positive all my photos haven't truly been deleted, I just cant locate them.
Any clue how I can locate the photos?
Then, how do I make the ExtHD the destination drive so that I only upload my photos while the ExtHD is plugged in and the photos get uploaded directly to that drive?
