Hello wise ones,

I transferred my iphoto library to a new macbook pro yesterday, and many pics have a band along the bottom that is distorted. I tried all of the options to repair the library when you hold down option and cmd when you open iphoto. Ideas?

(I couldn't get the migration app going so I just put the library folder on an external hard drive and dropped it into the same location on my new Mac)

Are the original source files still OK?

Your photos are corrupted, but your source is ok. On the new mac update OS X and iPhoto and try the transfer again. I am sure this was a known issue that they was fixed.
