24" iMac

I have a very organized iphoto library on my macbook that I would like to transfer to my new iMac. I have plenty of external hard drive goodness but I have no idea how to keep the library organized into it's events, titles and such. I dont want to have to redo it as it takes awhile but anyway, I want this to happen and i'm hoping it's something I just missed and I feel dumb because I have spent a great deal of time trying it.

Any help will be appreciated and if you guys need more info let me know.

Thanks

Use the Apple supplied app, Migration Assistant (in Utilities folder) to transfer your photos and other stuff. Works by hooking the Macs up via a Firewire cable.

ok just tried that, got alot of apps to move over but it did not transfer the library or if It did I have no idea where too, and JiC someone asks both Macs are using iPhoto 08.

Still no pix
