iPhoto Library update?

After i updated to Mavericks and plugged my iPhone in, iPhoto opened and said that the library needs to be updated in order to be comparable with this version. Anyone else have this? Will it delete photos on the iPhone?

Mine did this. Didn't lose any photos, you just can't use an earlier version of iPhoto to view your pictures after the update. This is standard with all iPhoto updates if I remember correctly.
