iPhoto Library

Currently, in my 'Pictures' folder I have all my pictures which I've copied over from my old PC in nice organised folders '2010 Holiday', 'Christmas 2009' etc etc.

If I wanted to start to use iPhoto, is it possible for iPhoto to view these images or would they be 'duplicated' for use within iPhoto (ie. the iPhoto Library).

I'm tight on space so don't want this to happen - however, if iPhoto can use the images without duplicating them and decreasing disk space, then I'll use it

dgrog, if you go to Preferences in iPhoto, then "Advanced," you can untick the box where it says "Copy items to the iPhoto Library." Do this prior to importing anything. Hope that helps.
