iPhoto memory hog

Hi all,

Does anyone else here use iPhoto to upload your photos and videos to MobileMe? I've been having a big problem with it lately, when my system tries to sync the files over to the MobileMe server, iPhoto's memory usage goes nuts. I have 4 gigs of ram, and iPhoto took up so much memory during the process that I had 12,000 page-outs! As I'm syncing, I can actively watch through istat as my available memory saps away. Does iPhoto load every photo into system memory before syncing or something?

Any help would be great!
