I am trying to convert to Photos.
When I started Photos it moved my iPhoto photos to Photos.
It was a mess. But I think it will improve. I do not use events, just albums and I think that is the problem.
But, the question..
If I add photos to iPhoto as time goes on, (I keep using it because I understand it), how do I progressively update the photos library ?
I ask because one day I know that Apple will "force" me into Photos exclusively.
Many thanks for any ideas.

I think I have the answer. There is one photo library addressed by both iPhoto and Photos. If you edit a photo using iPhoto, Photos will not see that edited photo. The only way to keep both apparent libraries updated is to launch Photos and do the same edit there.
I think, and this is a guess, if you load new photos into the library using iPhoto, Photos will see them.
If I am wrong, please advise.

iphoto is like a mac and photos is like windows full of bugs

Until Apple fixes all the bugs from photos who wants to use it.

I hope that Apple understand this and keep updating iphoto a 100000% superior software than photos in everything.

I agree. I just realized you can't open an image in Photos in an external program like PS like you can in iPhoto.

How do I make sure photos from my camera continue to download to iPhoto?
