i've scoured through iPhoto and aperture, but i can't find what I thought would be a pretty handy feature. me and my s.o both have iPhone with separate iCloud accounts, but we centralize all our photos onto my mac mini. my photos are pushed and saved to monthly events, but i can't figure out how to do the same with hers into my library. anyone find a solution?

secondary question while i'm here, is it possible to make an event that is a "best of" so to speak. my trip to europe has ~7000 photos, which i want to keep all of, but is there a way to select a couple hundred, and make it its own event WITHOUT removing it from the main event, and without creating a duplicate and making an event of the duplicates?

thanks

I can't answer your first question, but I can help with the second.

In iPhoto '11:
Flag the pictures you want to use by clicking the top left corner. You are not limited to one event for this.
Go to "Flagged" in the sidebar.
At the bottom of the screen, click "Create" and select "Album".
