I know there are dozens of tips for sharing an iPhoto library involving everything from ACLs to just putting it in the Shared folder and an alias in each user's Photos folder.
But what I was wanting to do was just give a second user on the machine basic "read" access (no write privs) to a library, and the network sharing feature seemed ideal.
I can, for example, do exactly that from my laptop with my desktop library.
Except, of course, when I fire up iPhoto in a second account on the same machine... the shared library doesn't appear. Is there some easy way of getting it to look at the local computer for shared libraries? Am I missing something obvious?
