According to the help info, iCloud is supposed to auto-update iPhoto on my Mac whenever I take photos with the iPhone and the photos are uploaded to the cloud.

However, this isn't happening. I have to manually open iPhoto, then wait til it updates with the new photos and videos before I can do anything with them.

It's actually quicker and more convenient for me to connect the iPhone to the Mac and to then use Image Capture to import the media to a selected drive and/or folder.

I find how iPhoto works to be confusing at times. There seems to be two or more areas which have the same photos in them.

eg: Library/Photos and Shared/iCloud.
