iPhoto not splitting events in photo stream

In iPhoto preferences, I have everything turned on in the Photo Stream section, and I have Auto Split into Events set to One event per Day.

When I go into Events, the last event is called Apr 2013 Photo Stream, but inside are 3 photos from April 7th and 5 from April 18th.

Why doesn't it create 2 events, one for the 7th and another for the 18th? How do I get it to do this automatically?
