iPhoto organization question

I'm about to make the move to Mac, but I'm worried about iphoto. Currently on my PC, everything imports into folders for that date, so all pictures are in chronological order. As I look into iPhoto, I don't see where it does that, instead importing by "Event".

Is is possible to keep iphoto organized in chronological order?

They are arranged chronologically by date taken by default.

I don't use events ... at all.

Thanks so much for the quick answer. So when I move everything over from the PC, it should import and organize by date? If so, wonderful.

just move everything over, it will organize by event. you can always make your own folders and drag the events into the folders. that way you can go to say your "2009" folder and everything from 2009 will be in that folder.
