After a few years i finally have upgrade OS to High Sierra. Everything worked ok, EXCEPT when trying to import iphoto library into photos.

I click on import library (from iphotos), says it is "Preparing library" but gets to 24% complete before I get an error message that says "Photos has detected inconsistencies in your library."

Any ideas please on how to fix this??? I stripped out all the movies and moved them to a seperate external drive as have 15k photos and movies, but didn't help.

There's a dedicated "digital photo" subforum here -- you might try asking there.

I'm wondering if the 3rd party utility called "iPhoto Library Manager" could repair the library for you?
